The Late Great Eqbal Ahmad Knocks It Out of the Park!

If the art of giving a lecture was like baseball, this is not just a home run, it's a Triple RBI with the ball landing in the next county.  Equal Ahmad was a prolific activist, author, and scholar who influenced an entire generation of critical thinkers.  Edward Said described Ahmad as a political and personal mentor.  Noam Chomsky once described him as an example of an intellectual who fulfilled the responsibility of what a prominent thinker should do with the privileges accorded to such position as a respected scholar.
This speech is a powerful denouncement of the Israeli siege of Lebanon in 1982.  The power of the delivery is so raw and emotional yet also full of mature intellectual nuance, one can only wish to someday be able to reach 1/10th of that achievement.
