The Politics of Memory and Elie

Today CounterPunch re-printed a 2006 essay by Alexander Cockburn about the veracity of Elie Wiesel's book NIGHT and the political and moral stances he publicly takes as an alleged spokesperson for Holocaust survivors worldwide.  This of course follows recent political pronouncements Wiesel has made in print and other media about Palestinians and a new group of settlers that are going to be moving illegally onto Palestinian land in the near future.
