Spy Films of Jonathan Pollard

The re-hash of the Jonathan J. Pollard case on the NYTimes.com was hopelessly bizarre.  For those who are unaware, Pollard, an American civilian defense analyst for the Navy, was caught selling weapon and communications information to Apartheid South Africa and the State of Israel, the nature of which is so absolutely sensitive still, after nearly three decades, that the case remains highly classified.  Indeed, it may not be for another two decades, perhaps later, that the entire extent of Pollard's espionage will be made public.
Here's a recently de-classified Naval training film made after the incident, including footage of the actual espionage.

What is interesting to me here is the use of mainly African American and female character actors in the speaking roles, while the film skirts who Pollard was spying for or why in terms of ethnicity or economic inclination.
